How This Compares to Matterport
Matterport creates a 360-degree photo tour — you jump between fixed camera positions and the space between is interpolated. It works well for simple residential listings. But on reflective surfaces like chrome, glass, mirror walls, and equipment — it produces artefacts, flat-looking geometry, and visual inconsistencies.
Our LiDAR walkthroughs use 3D Gaussian Splatting — a fundamentally different approach. The K2’s LiDAR builds the geometric skeleton of the space first, then visual splats are draped around that geometry. The result is a model that is both photorealistic and dimensionally accurate — you can navigate it from any angle, not just between fixed viewpoints, and measure directly from the 3D space.

How It Works
1. Scan
We walk through your space with the Lixel K2 — typically 1–3 hours for most commercial spaces. The scanner captures true-colour LiDAR data in real time.
2. Process
The point cloud is processed and the 3DGS model is generated in LCC Studio. Photorealistic splats are applied around the LiDAR geometry, producing a model that is both visually stunning and measurement-accurate.
3. Deliver
You receive a shareable web link — viewable in any desktop or tablet browser without plugins. Optionally, we produce an animated camera flythrough video (Full HD MP4) for embedding in your website, social media, or investor presentations.
